Past Life Regression
Within the spiritualist philosophy and new age past lives are an important aspect to understand. It really begins with the fundamental question of REINCARNATION and the question of do we live separate lifetimes in succession? Is this physical life all there is do we continue to exist after the physical body has passed away? This is at the core of both the new age & the Spiritualist philosophies and is a question that has been asked over eternity.
So why would we want to remember our past lives and does this memory serve us while we are living this earthly life. As a part of my work I have guided many people on the journey through the super conscious into the soul’s memory of their past lives using specific tools and exercises. What I have found past life therapy useful for is helping people to unearth aspects of this life which may occur as phobias or fears perhaps compulsions like hording.
For example. I am reminded of a lady who came to see me because she had been having some really upsetting experiences since giving birth to her daughter, Each time she was bathing the baby she was experiencing a feeling of panic that the baby might drown, one day she literally saw the babies face slipping under the water and then she asked herself was it me did this baby drown or did I drown the baby? This created such a distress that she refused to bath her daughter, While working through a past life regression she was taken back to a distant time where she experienced a life where her child had drowned in a lake and the guilt and grief that she felt within that experience revealed itself to her as she had given birth to her daughter in this life with this memory activated within her and because of the understanding it brought she was able to release the memory and again bath the baby with confidence. So you can see what an effective tool past life regression can be.
The simple answer is that if we were to bring with us this total understanding of our souls maturation through the many lives spent working together what would be the point in coming into a physical life. Armed with that much knowledge we would forgo the privilege of making choices in the moment due to emotional experiences and understanding. Our sole point of incarnation is to experience each other in the richness of the moment with the emotional charge of our humanness with the limited understanding that our experience has taught us, up to this point in our journey. With our personal feelings and our wits to guide us throughout situations we can draw on the most powerful point to our incarnational process and our physical lives, which is the power of choice. This leads us to personal responsibility which takes us into the karmic associations between us individually.
The simple truth is that there is no point really, that knowing your past lives won’t really serve you, but you can tap your core source and draw the relevant parts from your past life History- book to serve you with the maturation of your physical journey.
It was once written that as you ascend over the veil from spirit into physical form you must drink from the river of forgetfulness. There was once a soul who would not drink from this river and so incarnated knowing his entire life history and his present day incarnation. Over the course of his life he knew when he would leave school, what job he would get, when he would marry, what his wife’s name was, how many children he would have, what he would name them, when his parents, his wife and children would die and when and how he would die. When asked at the point of death what his greatest treasures were from his most present life he replied NONE as I knew all of the events which were to unfold and the people and places, I was always prepared for each and every event that occurred and the thing I missed most, and what I observed with the other entities which I shared this incarnation with was, the spontaneity and mysteries that they embraced in the day to day challenges of living and being in relationships within their life. I longed for the happy and the sad times I wanted to feel the expectations and excitement of the unknown. Please will you grant me my biggest wish in the moment can I please go back into the earth and live life again, so that I may drink from the river of forgetfulness and so live my life embraced in the mysteries of my soul.
